Yes. SBP state board exam kits are not assembled until they are ordered. We do this because we check for exam changes DAILY before kits are made and shipped. YOU WILL ALWAYS RECEIVE THE CURRENT EXAM KIT FOR YOUR STATE. You will receive a tracking notification email once your order ships.
How long does it take to get my kit if I order it today?
Standard processing time for state board exam kit orders is 5 business days. Most orders are processed sooner than this however it depends on how many orders are ahead of yours. During our peak season processing times may be extended. Please select the processing time which will allow for your order to arrive on time. We will always process as quickly as we can howeve if your exam date is less than two weeks away, we suggest you choose expedited processing to ensure the order arrives on time. Our peak season for order processing is April through October.
What if I need my kit within a shorter time frame to accommodate an already scheduled exam?
We have expedited processing services available. You can add this service to your order and your order will be processed and shipped within 24 hours. To request this service add it to your cart by selecting the option while building your order or call our office at (678)-884-5329 and our receptionist will handle your request. **PLEASE NOTE: All expedited orders placed while our office is closed will be processed on the next business day.**
My kit arrived damaged from shipping can I get a replacement?
Absolutely! Call our office at 678-884-5329 or email us at support@stateboardprofessor.com and report the damage. We will replace your damaged bags immediately. We insure all of our shipments all we need is pictures of your damages.
Can I get a detailed list of what is in the kit I want to purchase?
We do not provide itemized kit lists for state board exam kit orders. We list our kits according the services which are required for your state board. ALL kits cover the FULL exam for your state. You will have all supplies needed to complete all services that are listed.
Does the kit come with all of the capes, combs, brushes, and everything?
Yes. ALL of the implements needed to complete each service in your exam will be present in your kit.
Do I need to buy a mannequin hand?
No. unlike other kit companies SBP automatically includes a rubber mannequin hand for any kit that includes nail services where a live model is not required by the state. You do not need to purchase a mannequin hand unless you want to have one for practice before the exam.
What do I need to add to my kit?
We do not include mannequin heads, cutting implements, thermal irons, or metal manicure tools. These items can be added to your kit by visiting our mannequins and supplies page if you do not have them.
Is a duffle bag included with the kit?
No. You can always add one from the mannequins and supplies page. However keep in mind that unless your state requires a hard kit case you can use any bag or suitcase as long as it is not larger than 30x30in and contains no beauty brands as the logo. Only order a duffle bag id you do not have one of those options available.
Will the bottles come filled or are they empty?
Yes. We do not ship empty product containers. The only containers that arrive empty will be the containers that get filled with water. Everything else will come filled.
Are the acrylic supplies odorless AND sealed?
Yes. All state boards and testing companies have this requirement. Our acrylic supplies are odorless and factory sealed.
Every state board exam kit comes with a free 30 min exam consultation call, TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE CALL. Often times instructors are under informed on what state board policies actually are. We will make sure you are aware of what the state requires without inserting personal opinions into the mix. We work directly with the boards so we know what is accepted and what isn’t and all kits are build in this fashion. WE CAN INSTRUCT YOU ON EXACTLY HOW TO USE OUR KIT AND SUPPLIES TO PASS YOUR EXAM.
How do you guys know my state’s exam?
We have a dedicated segment of staff that works closely with state boards of cosmetology and barbers to make sure that we stay on top of all exams. We want our clients to have access to the correct information for classes and kits. We do the work so that you can focus on passing the exam.
My state is not listed can I still order?
If your state is not listed we do not service your state at this time.
Can I return or exchange my order?
No. We do not offer refunds or exchanges on state board exam kits or any digital products. If you purchased the wrong kit you must alert us prior to your order being shipped and we will make all necessary changes. If the order leaves our warehouse we will not be able to accept it back as all kits are made to order.
Can I cancel my processing order if I no longer want it?
Yes. orders which have not left our facility can be canceled, however they will be assessed a $45 restocking fee. If your was an expedited order and the order was prepared and ready for shipping within 24 hours as per policy, expedited processing fees will not be refunded.
Can your exam prep class train me to pass in my state?
Yes. We train for the practical and written exam for ALL STATES. Our educators are well versed in each state's exam. Call our office or schedule your class by going to the state board training classes page on our website.
Does my class come with a kit?
Only the hands on practical classes held in our office include a kit, carrying bag, and mannequin if it is required for your state's exam. If you are taking an online class you can purchase an exam kit separately.
